Welcome to Skye’s wedding (featuring Sam)!

The wedding of the fabulous Skye and Sam. Or as Skye like to put it, welcome to Skye’s wedding featuring Sam!

We had a great day celebrating the legends that are Skye and Sam at their June Wedding at the glorious Dodford Manor.

Dan was over with the lads who were getting ready in the comfort of their own home and were already looking suave, relaxed and ready. It didn’t take them long to grab a quick beer, have a cheers and head outside for a quick group shot, complete with sunglasses on this sunny June day.

Skye & Sam’s wedding was full of lots of tiny, but brilliant detail including personalised cufflinks for the groomsman and a little badge for their son, Wade that said “Mini Best Man Wade” on it.

Over to Sarah who was with the gorgeous Skye who was busy getting her glam on. Sarah spied some more lovely detaisl including the STUNNING, embroidered veil with the words “In this life and the next” on it, created by the lovely Sewn By Me. She also had classic, cream Ted Baker shoes ready and a clutch bag with Wifey jewelled on.

The dress itself from Butterfly Bridal Boutique was a long, flowy dress with a lace detailed front with skinny straps. And let’s not forget that cheeky garter with blue detail on.

Turn the shoes over and WAIT a minute! More personalisation with Every Love Story is Beautiful and Mrs Burden written on the left sole in blue and Ours is my Favourite and the date of the wedding on the right one. Such a lovely, hidden touch but one that brides know is with them for the entire day.

Skye opted for a gorgeious bouquet from The Vintage House That Could which contained pink penies and little white and purple flowers. Her bridesmaids carried pale pink roses as their posies.

You could tell just how excited Skye was as she relaxed in her chair ready to be pampered.

The team had arrived at the venue of Dodford Manor, as had the guests and so it was time for Sam to head down the aisle, check everything was in place and then await his lovely bride.

Time for Skye to get in her dress and you could see just how excited and buzzing she was to marry the love of her life. Sarah captured some images of Skye including some candid shots of her bridesmaids helping her put her garter on and the final touches of a delicate bracelet added to her wrist.

Knock, knock. Who’s there? Skye’s Dad and we weren’t sure he was ready for the vision of beauty that Skye was. His face was a picture and he wiped a tear away before giving his little girl a huge cuddle. We’re all about the candid and relaxed shots, but there’s something so special about creating long-lasting memories with family members.

It was the bridesmaids turn to see Skye and their reactions did not disappoint. They all looked effortlessly gorgeous in their lilac and pale green dresses with hands over their mouths in shock and tears in their eyes too!

TO THE VENUE, but how you ask? In a Rolls Royce of course! This wedding was all about class and the transport absolutely followed that style!

Sam was ready at the top of the alter and the guests were seated. It was finally time for Skye and Sam to get married. After a gorgeous ceremony, the two were officially pronoiunced husband and wife.

We took the team outside to capture that newlywed buzzy feeling and enjoyed a quick drink and something to eat. Ready waiting for us was the sweetest treat for guests in a form of an ice cream from Flossy’s Ice Cream with a personalised wafer on top with the bride and groom’s names.

The sweet treats didn’t stop there with a candy station inside as well as a glorious three tiered traditional cake AND a cheese cake!

Speech time and wait, what was that? The head chef coming to check everyone was okay? NOPE, it was the AMAZING Aston from Secret Singers. Guests were roaring with laughter, up on their feet and on their chairs singing their hearts away. A really nice touch to boost the energy in the afternoon.

The blue skies were calling so we took Sam and Skye for an after-dinner stroll to get some more photos of the couple on the best day of their lives.

The day flew past (as they always do) and it was back to the dance floor to throw some shapes before heading home.

An epic day for an epic couple; cheers Skye & Sam.
