IF YOU’RE PLANNING A BARN WEDDING, YOU’LL LOVE THIS WEDDING FOR INSPIRATION!
When Sarah and Scott first got in touch with me about their wedding, We were so thrilled – they were planning the most relaxed barn wedding with an intimate ceremony and a live band for the reception. Sarah and Scott are the sweetest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
BRIDAL PREP
We started at both ends of Bassmead Manor Barns, where the couple and their friends were getting ready in the bridal boudoir and dove cottage – and it was so relaxed, because everyone was in a good mood! Sarah wore a lacy dress and Scott wore braces and a bow tie and they looked really dapper.
THE WEDDING
The wedding took place at the rickety barn at Bassmead, and was a stunning legal ceremony. They had some beautiful readings, which was just magical. After the ceremony there was a big cheer from everyone, and then they were showered with confetti. We whisked them away for a few moments to soak up that ‘omg we just got married’ feeling and to take some deep breaths – Always a good time to get a few relaxed photos together.
THE PARTY
The wedding reception took place on site at Bassmead, which was adorned with lots of locally grown natural flowers by one of our favourite local florists, fairy lit gin bottles, and festoon lights. It was so beautiful.
It was a overcast day, which was perfect for photos. While the guests enjoyed canapes and cocktails, the couple mingled and laughed with their friends. My favourite photo from the portraits is of these two simply walking off together hand in hand. Check it out below!
During the reception they had a live band, which went down a storm. For the meal they had proper wedding grub, and it was absolutely delicious. Afterwards, they had some wonderful speeches and the party kicked off. They also had a photobooth, which kept everyone entertained.
