A day in the countryside, the Chiltern Hills for the wedding of Victoria and George.
Sarah started her day with the bridal team and instantly spotted Victoria’s dreamy Dress from Bridal Loved Tring; a vision of beauty. Victoria opted for a long, laced dress with thin straps and elegant, laced detail sleeves. Her shoes were from Charlotte Mills and had a lovely message of ‘something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue and a sixpence in her shoe’. A lovely old tradition bought right back in to modern times.
Her flowers from Howe Farm Flowers were a stunning bouquet of an array of pink and purple flowers with greenery and eucalyptus in it. The bridesmaids had small versions of this too – fantastically tying it all in together.
Victoria was busy getting ready as were her bridesmaids and there was an air of chill around the room, a lovely relaxed morning from all.
Dan was over with the boys who were dressed, ready and raring to go, enough so that they had time for a swift pint at the Lions of Bledlow pub before heading to the church.
The groomsman all looked very dapper in their navy blue suits and we had some time to get some groups shots of the team outside the watering hole.
Back over with the girls and Victoria was getting into her dress, helped by her bridesmaids wearing elegant white gloves to stop any dirt or make up getting onto the dress.
Last minute touches and it was time to get some pictures of the bride herself. Victoria was so chilled and had such a lovely energy about her. We knew this day was going to be excellent.
The step-father of the bride turned up to get a sneak peek of his daughter; one of our favourite moments to capture on camera. We got some snaps of the pair and then it was time to get in the car and off to the church.
Guests were arriving in their brilliantly, wildly coloured outfits, perfect for a Summer wedding and started piling in to the church.
Trinity Church was stunning and we couldn’t help but get the perfect angles ready to meet the two at the alter.
One of the groomsman kept everyone entertained by playing the piano and then it was time for the bells to ring out and the bride to enter. We had time for some snaps of the bridesmaids and some group shots and then it was time to get Victoria married!
James was waiting nervously at the front of the church, but soon mellowed when he saw his wife to be walking down the aisle. They looked very comfortable in each other’s company.
Vows exchanged, papers signed, introducing the new Mr and Mrs Allen! We grabbed the newlyweds to have some photos outside of the church, with some candid shots and some more staged ones. We know candid shots are the ones everyone wants and it’s definitely our preferred approach too. You can read all about this in our about us section of our website.
Confetti time and Victoria and James opted for dried petals, a lovely touch to a lovely day.
Time to head across to Rackley’s barn, a unique wedding venue in the Chiltern Hills. Guests gathered outside and we got the newlyweds a glass of champagne and took them outside to get some more snaps of the two of them.
Best part of the day? When Goldie turned up; their golden retriever! We LOVE dogs at weddings, it’s always a yes from us. We spent a great amount of time capturing the family and Goldie was on his best behaviour with his best smile and poses for the camera.
Bridal party shots were up next on the agenda so we kept it outside whilst the weather was kind to us. Group shots are so great to capture for memories and make amazing presents for years to come too! We swiftly took Victoria and George away again before the reception to capture them in their newlywed element and then headed inside the venue for the speeches.
All of the speeches were heartfelt and it was so great to hear the bride do a speech too! The guests then took it back outside for playtime including space hoppers and croquet. The couple had thought of it all – there was a glitter station, a board game station for later on in the day to keep the kids (& adults) entertained as well as garden games for the children to play.
The day flew by and it was time for the first dance followed by an epic dancefloor filled with guests throwing all the shapes!
A stunning day, for a stunning pair. Thank you, Victoria & George!
