Step into the enchanting world of Lucy & James’ wedding at Shustoke barn, complete with a radiant Summer’s day.
Sarah started the morning spending time with the brides crew getting Lucy ready for the big day at the couples stunning home! Lucy wore a timeless, long, backless dress with intricate detail and a laced collar.
The little details always make the day memorable and this wedding was no different. There were little gift bags for all bridesmaids and members of the bridal party decorated in the theme of the day; beige and bright white florals intertwined with pastel green plants.
Being such a glorious day meant the bridesmaids could sit outside basking in the sunshine in their elegant, pale green silk robes, before getting changed in to the same colour graceful slinky dresses.
Dad turned up ready for the first look, and looked EPIC in a tux complete with bow tie.
Now for the venue, Shustoke barn on a sunny Summers day – is there a better venue? With a stunning courtyard area and sunglasses being a key accessory of the day.
Dan took to take the grooms groups shots in front of the incredible arched architecture, it’s like the venue knows it’s beautiful, and boasts its curved window features as the picturesque backdrop. Cripps venues are always finished to such a top quality – We always know its gonna be epic.
Moving inside, there was a stunning floral ball complete with neutral roses hanging from the ceiling ready to greet guests and the bride and groom. Centre piece? More like the focal point of the day!
The ceremony was delicate and intimate, focusing on the love shared between the couple of their commitment to each other in front of all of their lovely guests. The couple exchanged their vows, signed their paperwork and headed out into the courtyard to spend the afternoon together as Mr & Mrs with all of their lovely guests. And what lovely guests they were; donning big, bold and bright colours – THE wedding trend of the Summer of ’22. Time for a beer in the sunshine – the ultimate break in the day to relax, rejuvenate and get ready for the evening.
Shustoke Barn has a pleather of spots to get the best snaps including the very front of the building; a gorgeous long gravel path leading up to the stunning entrance of the rustic venue.
The décor in the room for the wedding breakfast was simple yet striking. Single strands of eucylyptus held the place names and the theme of beige roses, flora and fauna decorated each table.
Speeches were next on the agenda and WHAT a speech it was. A change of outfits for two groomsmen; a shiny gold and silver jacket for each! They looked like show hosts but then THEY WERE. The projector came out, cards were given to all guests and a game of would I lie to you happened, getting everyone excited, engaged and involved!
Now time for golden hour. The sun was setting, creating the perfect moment to capture bright blue skies and pale yellow hay bales making for the ideal backdrop complimenting Lucy & James’ attire.
Back to the venue and it had been transformed ready for the evening. Pink and purple uplighters completed the space ready to welcome guests to the dance floor.
As the evening drew in, the party really got started with everyone packing onto the dance floor to celebrate the fantastic day.
It truly was a chef’s kiss of a day, we love shooting at Shustoke and Lucy and James were the ideal couple!
