This Ashridge House wedding was like something out of OK Magazine and we loved every minute!
A day full of classic, timeless detail full to the brim with buckets of fun and laughter in the most beautiful setting that is Ashridge House – what more could you want?
The couple decided to have their special day at Ashridge house, a stunning Grade I Country estate and stately home in Hertfordshire. This award-winning venue is steeped in both history and character and is the most gorgeous backdrop for any ceremony. The fact it was on a belter of a July day made the house gleam even more than usual.
The entire day oozed class and quality, from getting ready, to the bridesmaids dresses, the grooms suave suits to the center pieces and décor. Everything was well thought through and meticulous; no detail spared.
It really was the wedding of fairytales. Watching Gordon be at the center of two grand staircases, awaiting his beautiful bride to be, Abygail.
And what a beauty she was, with a stunning slinky dress complete with flowing train floating down the stairs – the dress and the staircase perhaps the most talked about moment of the day.
The stairs were draped with huge bouquet of pale toned toffee roses (still dreaming of those roses tbh), dried flowers and foliage, creating an amazing taupe background. Married under the amazing architecture and aesthetics of the venue.
A moment for the ring box, arguably the best we’ve seen in a long time. A gorgeous heart shaped ceramic box with their names and date painted on in bright colours. See what we mean about no detail spared?
Fans at the ready for a hot day – the whole day was like a modern day Bridgerton with guests a plenty walking around the incredible grounds of the house complete with bright, Summer flowers in the gardens draped in glorious sunshine. Sunglasses being THE accessory of the day for all.
Outside shots during golden hour were made all the better by the incredible Summer breeze casually floating through the air delightfully picking up Abygail’s delicate veil making THE shot of the day.
Now for the FUN. The bride did a speech, there was singing a plenty, lots of raising glasses and standing on chairs. And this was only 4PM! After that, things got absolutely bonkers and we were right in the middle of the dance floor, obviously!
The liveliness continued well on in to the night with big bold lights and a big dancefloor awaiting guests with the most shapes we’ve ever seen thrown carrying on into the night.
A magician, a saxophonist, cigars for the lads, this was arguably one of the wedding highlights of the years for us.
