If you could imagine the perfect wedding day, then this would be it. Round of applause and take a bow, Becky & Lewis.
We had a phenomenal day capturing the O’Neills’ big day over at Blackthorp House. A day filled with love, laughter and happily ever after.
The décor was chic and rustic and had plenty of little touches from the bride and groom to make it their own.
Sarah popped in to catch up with the bride ahead of her big day and walked in to find Becky’s stunning Burr Bridal dress hanging up ready for her to wear. This slinky, yet elevated lace dress was born to be Becky’s! The little details were shown immediately with a white pair of pants on the bed with “just married” on in jewells and a lacey garter embroidered with Mrs O’Neill on in blue stitching. The personalisation didn’t stop there.
Becky’s shoes; a bright white pair of Charlotte Mills heels had Mrs O’Neill on the left shoe and the date of their wedding on the right heel. Now THAT’s a unique touch we’ve not seen before. Turn the shoes over and embossed in the sole of the shoe was “Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue And a Silver Sixpence in Her Shoe” with all of the o’s changed to hearts. This helped us take the ULTIMATE close up photo for the team to remember their big day.
If the bridesmaids were anything to do with bubbly Becky, they were going to be FUN and wow, they did not disappoint. We all had plenty of giggles, a few tears, some Prosecco and a vibrant, energetic yet emotional morning.
Dan was over with the lads to see how they were getting on. You see, that’s the beauty of us; there’s TWO! Two-D (Get it?) We can LITERALLY be in two places at once. Check out the our approach section on our website to find out more.
Quick croissant and Champagne breakfast and the lads were already ready donning their smartest navy blue suits with grey waistcoat detail. Our attention was taken to a napkin with “For your happy years” embroidered on it in blue. Another lovely touch of the day.
Ties on, giggles around who knew how to actually tie a tie out of the way and we took Lewis outside to have some family shots with his nearest and dearest, not forgetting his groomsmen.
Becky was having the final touches added to her hair and make up by the lovely Ieve Genovesi whilst casually sitting in her white silk pyjamas. The bridesmaids all had pale blue dressing gowns on so we took the gang outside to have a quick group snap before they got in their dresses ready for the big day. Dad popped in to see his daughter and they shared a lovely moment that we managed to capture on camera. A photo to be proud of for sure.
Becky? Ready. Lewis? Ready. Let’s go get married!
Smiling from ear to ear, Becky waltzed in to the ceremony to find a nervous and excited Lewis. With her Dad giving her away, it was now time to pass her to Lewis for their vows.
A gorgeous ceremony and plenty of kisses later and we were ready to go and get some newlywed couple shots around the grounds of Blackthorp, including that all important confetti shot!
Becky and Lewis were like something out of an OK Magazine shoot and her guests were no different.
We took some group shots and then it was back to the gardens where guests were enjoying Giant Jenga and a spot of acoustic music. Oh and let’s not forget a game of table football.
It was time to head back inside to capture those all important speeches and then we took it straight back outside to walk the grounds some more. We captured some images that we truly believe are like something out of a fairy tale.
It was almost time for us to depart, but not without a quick boogie on the dance floor and some of our favourite images we’ve ever taken of the bride and groom doing a crowd surf – COUPLE GOALS.
