Elisha and Craig – what a day! And the first outdoor ceremony for us for 2024! We had a blast capturing memories of the lovely couple in this gorgeous wedding.
Sarah started the day by popped over to see the girls getting ready and came across one of the most thoughtful and most detailed mornings for a very long time.
Posies of baby’s breath were ready for the bridesmaids and Elisha’s bouquet was covered in lots of stunning white roses and filled to the brim with eucalyptus.
Elisha had the bottom of her shoe engraved with “something old something new something borrowed something blue and a silver sixpence in her shoe” – a lovely touch and something she will remember forever.
The bridal squad wore Olive Green, slinky dresses, perfect for the April day we encountered.
Elisha had a moment to skim through the book as she had her hair done meaning tears were already flowing long before the ceremony. Heels done up and the girls were ready.
Dan was over with the boys and it was a very different vibe over with Craig as a bottle of Woodford reserve was at the ready and the lads were having a game of darts and challenging each other to a game of table football!
Each groomsman had a little personalised box with a cigar in and the rings were held in a beautifully engraved, wooden box, ready for the big day.
Last minute press of the shirts and the men were good to go. The boys certainly did look dapper in their bow ties. Dan had a quick chance to get some group shots of the boys just before the guests started to make their appearance.
Guests were seated, and the girls had a quick first look at Elisha before they headed downstairs for the ceremony.
Hands grasped in front of him to steady the nerves, Craig was ready to see his bride. One by one the bridesmaids took the long walk down the aisle ready to reveal Elisha in all her glory.
Big smiles and cheers filled the air at this outdoor ceremony as Elisha made it to the top to greet her husband to be.
Ring box at the ready and the couple shared their vows and were declared husband and wife.
Time for a quick glass of bubbles and then we took the couple off around the sunny grounds of Caswell house to have some newlywed shots with their friends and families.
Now, we don’t want to brag, but we’re pretty sure Dan can capture the best group shots and that is all down to his sense of humour. Posed photos are fine in our opinion, they tick a box for a lot of people, but it’s the candid ones that are our passion and are always the ones you love most. You can read more about how we work in our approach section of our website.
Dotted around the tables were little personalised cookies with the couples initials on and the date of the ceremony on – a lovely touch.
Coloured flares are the accessory of the 2024 weddings and this year is no different as Elisha and Craig threw around a blue flare each around their bridal party. The sun was shining and the guests were buzzing, beers in hands and ready to move inside for the wedding breakfast.
Time to grab Elisha and Craig for some lovely, newlywed photos which turned out to be mostly candid as we walked the grounds of Caswell house.
Moving on inside and it was time to welcome the newlyweds to their wedding breakfast. Time for a few speeches and cheers with plenty of inside jokes, laughter and a touch of emotion bringing on more tears and then we took it outside again to get some fantastic shots amongst the nature of the venue.
Golden hour proved to be their right on cue and Elisha’s veil made for a great photography prop.
The couple had a photo booth proving to be ever popular throughout the night with silly props to accompany it.
Soon enough it was time to hit the dancefloor and wow, the guests did not disappoint.
We took the last few moments of the evening to take it outside once more and capture two or three images of the newlyweds by a birch tree covered in twinkly fairy lights. The dream!
