Nettlestead Place: A Cozy Love Nest
As we arrived at Nettlestead Place, we couldn’t help but be charmed by its timeless beauty. Tucked away in the heart of the Kent countryside, this historic venue boasts a warm, intimate atmosphere that set the stage for a truly unforgettable day. The undertow, where the bride and groom exchanged their vows, may have been on the darker side which some may find tricky, but it was incredibly cosy – the perfect setting for the love story of these two utter legends, two of the nicest people we’ve ever met!
Love Lawn
After the piano adorned ceremony, it was time to celebrate on the lawn overlooking Nettlestead Place. With a backdrop like that, you couldn’t help but get excited, seriously. Guests enjoyed drinks, laughter, and some sweet tunes as they basked in the sweeeet surroundings.
A Ski-Themed Extravaganza
The ski theme woven throughout the day was pretty sweet. From the subtle mountain details on the cake to the creative touch of adorning ski boots with flowers, Lauren and Andy’s passion for the slopes was evident. We had the privilege of sitting at a table with guests, which added an extra layer of warmth and intimacy to the celebration and meant we didn’t miss anything. You’d be surprised how often an impromptu dance off happens between courses, even in the heat!
Laughter and Roasts: Speech Time
The speeches were an absolute riot, especially when Andy’s mum took the stage. She roasted him in the most loving and hilarious way possible, leaving everyone in stitches. It’s moments like these that remind us why we love capturing weddings – the raw, and downright funny moments that make each celebration unique.
Pure Magic
Now, let’s talk about golden hour photography. We were fortunate to sneak Lauren and Andy away for some photos amidst the beautiful flowers during the most enchanting golden hour we’ve seen in a while. Golden hour is a photographer’s dream – the soft, warm light casts a magical glow over everything, making for dreamy, romantic shots that are nothing short of stunning. When your photographer comes and grabs you saying something like ‘omg guys, the light!’ trust me, just go.
Entertainment
As the sun dipped below the horizon, an incredible magician wowed the crowd with mind-bending tricks and illusions. It was a perfect segue into a night of dancing and revelry. The roaming band from earlier kept the energy high, ensuring that the dance floor was packed all night long, and we were there to make some shapes alongside the others, obviously.
What a day!
