A Vibrant Italian Wedding at Bassmead
When we first met Iolanda and Antonio’s, we instantly felt lucky to be shooting their beautiful sunny wedding at Bassmead Manor Barns. We’ve shot at Bassmead many times before, as we’re one of their recommended suppliers, but wow what a corker this one was!
The beauty of Bassmead Manor Barns is that as a wedding photographer, everything you could possibly wish for. Lots of highlights and shadows, plenty of opportunities for awesome composition, and little pops of colour and texture… All in one beautiful courtyard! Add a couple like these two and the day is a total dream from the beginning.
From the moment we arrived in the morning, the party was underway with the Greatest Showman soundtrack blaring out. Iolanda and the girls had plenty of space in the Bassmead Manor Barns, and the boys were ready and dapper on time. They made sure everything was ready to go and had time to relax AKA get a bit nervous.
Knowing that this wedding would have traditional Italian flair, we knew to expect vibrantly dressed wedding guests, food, lots of colour during the first dance, food, and a lot of family orientated love and dancing. And more food. As well as all of that, Iolanda and Antonio had the unexpected surprise of a magician and some of the best singing waiters we’ve ever seen. ‘Thats Amore’ went down an absolute treat, let us tell you!
With Iolanda’s pocketed dress, romantically styled hair and soft pastel colours, everything was tied together so well alongside the character of the barns. As we all know, weather in March can swing both ways; and well, we were also lucky to have a warm day with blue skies! Everyone enjoyed fresh cured meats, cocktails and gin in the gardens, and then even more scrummy food outside after the wedding breakfast. Seriously, SO MUCH FOOD!
